Protect Your Energy: Bringing Baltimore Club Energy Into a Message of Self-Preservation

Music has always been a way for me to process life, create moments, and turn feelings into something people can connect with.

This summer, I created a record called “Protect Your Energy” with frequent collaborator Rodney Hollywood — a Baltimore Club inspired dance record built around a simple message: don’t let the outside world take away your peace.

We all experience moments where there is a lot of noise around us — opinions, distractions, pressure, and things that can pull us away from ourselves. This song is a reminder to stay grounded, move with intention, and protect the energy you bring into the world.

For the production, I wanted the record to feel uplifting and immersive. I blended the energy and movement of Baltimore Club with smooth synths, atmospheric textures, and melodic elements that create a feeling beyond just the dance floor. The goal was to make something that people could move to, but also feel.

Rodney Hollywood brought the perfect energy to the record with his smooth R&B vocals, adding emotion and warmth that helped bring the message of the song to life. Working with Rodney has always been special because we share a creative connection that allows us to build records that feel authentic.

The final piece of the process was having the record mixed and mastered by one of the top engineers in the region, Ryan “MixedbyTop” Anderson. His attention to detail helped bring the full vision together and make sure the record hits the way it was intended.

Releasing “Protect Your Energy” on Juneteenth feels meaningful. The song represents freedom in its own way — the freedom to move, to create, and to choose what energy we allow into our lives.

I hope this record reminds you to protect your peace, keep dancing, and keep moving forward.

Stream “Protect Your Energy” and thank you for listening. 🎧

From DJ Booth to Camden Yards: My Guest Splasher Experience with the Orioles”

Some moments remind you to stop and appreciate the journey.

As someone who grew up in Baltimore, the city has always been a huge part of my story. From creating music, DJing events, and bringing energy to different spaces around the city, I’ve always believed my purpose is about creating moments and connecting with people.

Being selected as the Guest Splasher through the Tower Federal Credit Union Guest Splasher experience at Camden Yards was one of those moments I’ll never forget.

I’ve spent years behind the DJ booth creating energy for crowds, but getting the chance to step into a completely different role at an Orioles game was an experience like no other. The atmosphere, the fans, and the excitement throughout the ballpark captured everything that makes Baltimore sports culture special.

The best part was seeing how much joy a simple moment can bring. Whether it was the excitement in the stands, the reactions from fans, or just being part of the game-day energy, it reminded me why experiences like this matter.

Being the Guest Splasher wasn’t just about having fun (although it was definitely a lot of fun). It was about being part of a Baltimore tradition, celebrating the city, and creating memories that people can share.

Want to be the next Guest Splasher?

One of the coolest parts about this experience is that other Orioles fans have the opportunity to create their own Camden Yards memory.

The Tower Federal Credit Union Guest Splasher Contest gives fans the chance to be selected as the Guest Splasher during an Orioles game. The experience allows fans to step into the spotlight, join the game-day excitement, and be part of the Bird Bath experience.

If you’re an Orioles fan and want to experience a game in a completely different way, check out the Guest Splasher opportunity through Tower Federal Credit Union and enter for your chance to make your own splash: Tower Federal Credit Union Guest Splasher Contest

I’m grateful to Tower Federal Credit Union for creating opportunities like this and for bringing local fans and creatives into the experience. Moments like these show the power of bringing together sports, culture, and community.

For me, this was another reminder that the things you do behind the scenes can open doors you never expected. Keep creating. Keep showing up. Keep bringing your energy — you never know where it may take you.

Much love, Baltimore. ⚾️💧🎧

Baltimore DJ Brings Energy to Under Armour Sports & Brand Activation Event

Creating Energy, Building Experiences: Music, Sports & Culture

One of the most rewarding parts of being a DJ is realizing that the role goes beyond the music.

Today, I had the honor of DJing for Under Armour and JJetts Flight School, an incredible experience focused on mentorship, performance, and helping young athletes prepare for the next level.

Led by Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson and powered by UA NEXT, the event brought together sports, culture, and the next generation of talent.

Moments like these are a reminder of how powerful music can be. The right song can create confidence, bring people together, and help turn a moment into a memory.

Whether I’m behind the decks at a stadium, a community event, or a brand activation, my goal is always the same: create an experience people can feel.

Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to spaces where creativity, sports, and culture intersect.

The journey continues.

Documenting the Work, Continuing the Culture

I had the opportunity to spend time with Wide Angle Youth Media, who are currently documenting my experience as a Folklife Apprenticeship Grant recipient through the Maryland State Arts Council. Being able to reflect on the work while it is actively unfolding is a different kind of feeling. It brings a deeper awareness to the process and the purpose behind it.

This experience has allowed me to grow not only as a producer, but as a mentor. While I continue to develop my approach to Baltimore Club Music production and arrangement, I am also passing that knowledge on to my mentee, Dcember Moon. That exchange is important. It is how the culture continues to move forward while staying connected to its roots.

Baltimore Club Music has always been about community, energy, and shared knowledge. Being in a position to contribute to that lineage in a meaningful way is something I take seriously.

Appreciation to Kariz Marcel and Blakwater Studios for the hospitality and for providing space to do this work the right way.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about where this all started.

Not the industry side. Not the strategy. Just the music.

From Baltimore to the World: Breaking Down My Track “Roll Call”

I’m excited to share my latest video from Class Is In Session with Spittcam University, where I break down one of my most iconic tracks: “Roll Call.” This video isn’t just about the beat — it’s a behind-the-scenes look at how the track came together, the culture behind it, and how it reached audiences around the world.

What makes “Roll Call” special is its journey from Baltimore’s club scene to international stages:

  • The track first gained global attention when it was featured in a Lucozade advertising campaign, pairing Baltimore Club energy with dancers and athletes in a commercial that reached audiences worldwide.

  • After that, “Roll Call” hit another milestone: it was featured in Fortnite, where players could buy the track’s emote and perform the signature Baltimore dances — from the Cherry Hill to Crazy Legs — bringing the city’s sound and movement to gamers across the globe. (WMAR2 News)

In the breakdown, I walk through:

  • The inspiration behind the track

  • How I crafted the beat, rhythm, and energy

  • What makes Baltimore Club music unique and why authenticity is key when a track reaches global audiences

For me, seeing “Roll Call” move from local dance floors to international ad campaigns and Fortnite is surreal — it’s proof of how Baltimore Club music resonates far beyond the city. As a DJ and producer, these moments remind me why it’s so important to stay true to the sound and energy that our community created.

Whether you’re a producer, DJ, or fan of high-energy music, this breakdown is a glimpse into how Baltimore Club works — from the studio to the world stage.

Mighty Mark Teams Up With Baltimore Orioles for White Marsh Rally

Mighty Mark Djs for Birdland Caravan in White Marsh Maryland
Mighty Mark Djs at White Marsh Mall Rally for Baltimore Orioles

On January 24, I’ll be bringing the sound to the White Marsh Mall Rally as part of the Baltimore Orioles Birdland Caravan, rocking the crowd from 3–6 PM. This one’s FREE and open to the public, so there’s no excuse not to pull up.

When I step into events like this, my focus is always on controlling the energy — setting the tone, keeping the crowd engaged, and making sure the music matches the moment. A Birdland Caravan stop is all about excitement, Baltimore pride, and momentum, and I’m coming ready to deliver a soundtrack that keeps the space moving from start to finish.

DJing for a city-wide franchise like the Orioles is another reminder of how far the work can travel when you stay consistent and intentional. These are the moments where music, community, and culture collide, and I’m honored to be part of that experience.

If you’re an Orioles fan, a music lover, or just looking for a good vibe, come catch me at White Marsh Mall and experience it live.
