Marquis “Mighty Mark” Gasque is a multifaceted producer, consultant, and community advocate deeply committed to the arts in Baltimore. Currently serving as the President of the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (MdVLA), he plays a pivotal role in helping Maryland's artists navigate complex legal challenges, ensuring they have the support they need to thrive creatively.

In addition to his work with MdVLA, Mighty Mark serves as the Baltimore Program Coordinator for New Music USA's Incubator program, where he helps small-budget, artist-led new music groups generate innovative strategies, foster collaborations, and develop sustainable practices. His work with these emerging organizations helps them flourish at critical stages of growth, shaping the future of the local music scene.

Mighty Mark is also a producer and consultant for Class Is In Session, a Baltimore-based platform dedicated to highlighting local DJs through special sets shared on YouTube and social media platforms. His involvement in this project helps amplify the voices of local artists and provides a platform for showcasing Baltimore’s rich and diverse DJ culture.

A proud Ambassador for the Cherry Hill Arts & Music Waterfront Festival, Mighty Mark is committed to supporting this Black-led and founded festival, which has become one of Maryland’s most diverse cultural events. Held annually on July 4th in the scenic Middle Branch Park, the festival is organized by the Youth Resiliency Institute and serves as a powerful space for Cherry Hill residents to connect, collaborate, and celebrate arts and culture in their community.

In 2024, Mighty Mark served as an adjudicator for the Dream Big Contest presented by The Lyric Baltimore, contributing his expertise to help elevate emerging talents in the arts. Additionally, he was the music supervisor for the critically acclaimed Dark City Beneath the Beat, a musical documentary that premiered on Netflix. The film highlights Baltimore's vibrant creative scene and its role in shaping global music and culture, showcasing Mighty Mark's deep connection to the city's artistic heartbeat.

Through all of these roles, Mighty Mark continues to create meaningful spaces for artistic expression, collaboration, and community-building in Baltimore and beyond.
