My Favorite Club Tracks of 2011

1.In My Hood(Dj Benny Stixx Remix)-Murder Mark and Mike-Mike-I was so excited about my #Jacked remix project all of the producers did a great job but this Benny Stixx remix of In My Hood from my Party Start project was my favorite by far. The homie Stixx killed the synths and flipped Mike-Mike vocals in ways that I hadn't even thought of yet.

2. Tupac Back-Dj Sega- Dj Sega has been dropping heat all year releasing 3 eps within in a few months. This was off his The Throne is Watching Me Ep and I think that he may be making some of the best traditional  Bmore Club music right now event hough he is from Philly. I say this because alot of producers have drifted towards more experimental or original productions such as my self but Sega is creating amazing sounds by combining the right samples together. 2pac back reminds me of classics such as King Tutt's Ride hardcore chops and straight gangsta.

3.Gator Don't Play-Thunderbird Juiceboxx- Thunderbird Jucieboxx may be the producer to watch in 2012 he is dropping some real innovative stuff. I love this track because it a great Bmore Track and fidget track at the same. The way he blends styles is amazing and the Gator sample is guaranteed to the set the part off. This is the first song I loaded intro Traktor when I got it lol.

4.Torro Remix-Nadus- This joint is so smooth man the smoothest club record I've heard all year. When you play it it feels like club but also gives a entirely different vibe at the same time.

5.Back It Up-Rye Rye and Say Wut- Say Wut is one of my favorite producers and I was excited to see that he produced a few joints on Rye Rye mixtape. Say Wut's track are always energetic and who else to compliment his high octane production style than the queen of hype female club vocals Rye Rye. I always liked her voice better than Lil John's lol. Rye Rye + Say Wut= Club Classic!!!

6.You Don't Bang With Me-Dj Pierre and TT The Artist- The 2011 Best of Baltimore Club Producer teamed up with my partner in crime TT The Artist to create this club hit. This is what a cat fight would sound like on a bmore club track. "Broke Ass Bitch Ass Punk Ass You Ole Dumb Ass". The track is pretty simple with just a basic drum and stab hit but play this in a club and watch how the girls react.

7.Tear Shit Up(Cobra Krames Remix)-Murder Mark- I didn't know what to expect when Cobra Krames sent me his remix of my track Tear Shit Up. When I hear this track I think of people drunk in a dark basement smashing chairs into walls and breaking stuff. Excellent track to ger the party started.

8.Gucci In Parris-Dj eSenTRik- Man on man this track is crazy! Crazy idea and the way he merged these tracks together was amazing especially when it get the part when Kreyshawn say "I got that Swag I got that Swag".

9.BBG Anthem-Dj Jayhood, DJ Joker, Dj Tameil- I didn't know about Jayhood or Joker until their mega successful Hands On Ya Hips but after that track I've been bumping their joints constantly. This track really sounds like an anthem the sample used sounds something like a marching band or college university fight song. The best part of the song is when the legendary Tameil drops his crazy verse he killed it and caught me totally off guard by schooling the new generation of club producers on how its supposed to be done.

10. The Ninja Remix featuring Vanilla Ice-DjSega- Even though Dj Sega dropped this track on December 30th as a part of his latest free Ep this tracks makes my list because of the nostalgia effect. The samples he used in this track are from one of my favorite movies of all time Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.

I would also like to share my favorite production of my own that dropped in 2011. I had to do it lol.

Me and 810 go way back since high school. I was actually a rapper with him back then and I had hot bars. Fast forward almost 6 years from our Poly high school days we are back in the studio. 810 is developing into a great M.C. and piano player and I have become one of the top #bmoreclub producers. Just know we working on something big. We got one joint done and working on a few more but for fun I'm a leak a couple of verses from our first project with the "Polytechnic High School Rap Club" which is now known as the "Floetic Lyricists". The first track is me the second track is a throwback 810 verse. Don't laugh lol!!!

Uneek Gives The Youth An Opportunity To Rock Off for the Crown Bmore Style!!!

Uneek(Center) with the King and Queen of Bmore Winners 2010
The King of Baltimore and We Run This City Group Dance Battles are two of my favorite events to go to every year. I love watching the dancers "rockoff" and have lots of respect from the creator of the whole movement. I caught up with Uneek the other day to ask him a few questions. Remember W.R.T.C. group dance battle goes down December 10th.

Murder Mark: I remember back with you started F.O.F.(former entertainment company ran by Uneek) a few years back and were doing local high school and 18 and over parties. I actually produced a few F.O.F. theme songs back in the day. How did you come up with the original King of Baltimore Idea which has become a yearly tradition in the dance community?

Uneek: The idea itself is a spin off K-Swift concept. When we were young teens she use to have us dancing down Hammerjacks in this "battle" style that had so much energy and made us feel so important. I wanted to give that back to the youth of today. As you grow up in the scene you hear the trash talk and gossip from dancers about who is the best in the city. I wanted to give them a chance to squash the talking and let the dance floor settle the dispute.

Murder Mark: There is a lot of controversy every year about the winner of these competitions. How do you choose the judges and what must a solo dancer do to separate themselves from the rest of the pack?

Uneek: Baltimore Club has a deep History known only by the natives of baltimore. The originators of the club music and club dance era passed down talent and year by year we watch it grow into something bigger and better. In selecting judges i try to not shy away from our history. The only people who understand the moves and expressions are those who have an understanding of club dancing. I also aim for those with deep resumes. Individuals who has been on the scene, experienced wins and losses and earned their respect.I then go back to make sure i avoided personal ties with individual dancers. I try to select judges who are well known overall by all and not just a friend of one or two.

Murder Mark: There aren't as many outlets for club dancers and the youth in general since the death of K-Swift and the recent closing of numerous closing of recreation centers. Some say that this is a great outlet for the youth and helps keep the club scene alive. How do you feel about this lol be honest.

Uneek: Its a great outlet..but can be even bigger and better. Its hard to get people to commit to positive when its nothing but negative surrounded around you, I however believe that if everyone would come out to one show, and see the faces of these young people, you will be convinced.

Murder Mark: It seems like this gets bigger every year. Where do you see yourself, K.O.B., and W.R.T.C. in the next 5 years.

Uneek: In 5 yrs I hope to have enough sponsors and city support that this event can be seen at least state wide. Maybe a local pay per view or something of that sort. I wanna give away prizes that really impact there lives, set them up for college dorm life and show them theres ways to achieving your dreams and goals that dont involve the negativity surrounding us. I just believe and want everyone to believe in them.

Uneek rockin off himself at the 2nd annual We Run This City Group Dance Battle
