My Weekly Playlist 1-3-2011

Happy New Year Everyone. This is my first weekly playlist of 2011 and I have to start the year off bumping some good music! I'm going to have this new track by Eminem titled "Syllables"on repeat all week. The beat has that "Marshall Matthers Lp" feeling and it fetaures Jay-Z,50 Cent,Dr.Dre,Stat Quo and Cashis.
Musiq Soulchild is one of my favorite R&B artists of all time and it always feels as if he says everything that I would say to a girl if i could sing lol. I fell in love with his debut album as soon as I heard it in my Aunt's car one weekend. Even though its old go cop it. #Isupportgoodmusic
Okay...I'm finally jumping on the J.Cole bandwagon. I actually avoided downloading any of J.Cole's previous work and wasn't a big fan of his music. I though he was just another one of them backpack rappers but I changed my mind when a promoter outside a local club handed me a hard copy J.Cole "Friday Night Lights". You can hear the hunger in voice when he spits and I love it.

First and foremost I would like to let everyone to know that I'm a huge Daft Punk fan and I was extremely excited to hear that they were producing an original score for the new Tron:Legacy Movie. I'm gonna be bumping Daft Punk all this week.

Eventhough some people may not consider "freestyle battles" actual music. I have been watching a lot of rap battles via YouTube mobile. Hitman Holla vs Arsonal has been my favorite thus far.

Lupe Fiasco is easily top 5 "lyricists" of all time. Anybody disagree?

Last but not least I'm gonna be bumping this mixtape from Baltimore native Los who was just named one of Global Grind's "10 Great New Rappers"! Root Root Root For The Home Team!!

Every Monday I Put New Music In My Phone To Get Me Through The Week...And Every Monday I Will Share The Music That I Choose With Y'all

Lil Wayne's first single from "Tha Carter IV" is huge!!!! This is kinda like an "A Milli" part 2 to me. Only Lil Wayne can drop hits with no hooks..lol. His catchy punchlines and verses can compete against the strongest chours any day.
B.O.B. released this mixtape on December 11th. This release proves to all the haters thats say he went pop that he still has skills on the mic. Check out the video for one of my favorite tracks on the mixtape

Last but not least I've been bumping some new tunes by the legendary Blaqstarr. A Baltimore native,a pioneer, and innovator when it comes to Baltimore Club Music. "Speakers On Loud" and a new version of his hit "Rider Girl" are now in my playlist.
